Whole melons: cool and shaded
Keep uncut watermelon out of direct sun in a cool, airy spot, and don't stack heavy loads on top.
Cut melon: cover and chill
Once cut, wrap the open face or move the pieces into a covered container in the fridge.
Slice close to serving
For events, cut nearer serving time so wedges stay crisp on the table.
Lift from below
Carry melons with a hand underneath and set them down gently. Knocks bruise the flesh.

Which watermelon is best for an event?
Seedless watermelon is quick to cut and guests don't deal with seeds, so it suits buffets and kenduri. Red seeded watermelon costs less per kilo and works well for juice and large crowds. Many hosts order both; tell us your menu and we'll suggest a mix.
How many watermelons do I need for 300 guests?
Plan on about 0.25 kg of watermelon per guest, roughly 75 to 90 kg for 300 people, or around 17 to 20 seedless watermelons at an average 4.5 kg each. Use the quantity guide above, then send us the result.
What is the smallest watermelon order?
The per-piece watermelon price applies from 20 pieces and the per-kilo price from 50 kg (mixed-size from 500 kg). Need less? Ask on WhatsApp and we'll tell you what can be arranged for your area.
Are the watermelon prices on the site final?
They are estimates. Watermelon prices move with variety, grade, size and harvest season, so we confirm today's price on WhatsApp by the kilo, piece or tonne, with the delivery cost stated in the quote.
